The Greater Sydney Green Grid is a project to create a complete urban green infrastructure network that combines hydrological, ecological and recreational elements of the entire biophysical region of Sydney. The project seeks to create an overarching green structure for Greater Sydney, that the future city can be developed around.
For a number of years, TYRRELLSTUDIO, the NSW Office of the Government Architect and the Greater Sydney Commission have worked together with all Sydney councils and departments to assemble the data required for the ongoing project.
TYRRELLSTUDIO have identified and mapped over five hundred projects across the districts of Sydney and then developed a methodology for prioritising these projects for future delivery. Ultimately, the final projects we selected have become the priority projects in the Sydney District and Metropolitan Plans released in draft format for comment in October 2017.
